Treating a Bladder Infection

I am 17 weeks pregnant and I was feeling a little out of breath this morning getting ready for church. At church I started noticing I was having a very strong tightening in my stomach and didn’t think much of it until I starting feeling them more frequently..They were comming every 3 mins sometimes 5 mins. I called my OB and was told I had to go be seen in the ER and not labor and delivery cause they needed to make sure it wasn’t a bladder infection or other sickness causing the contractions.

IN the ER they did blood, urine, a sonogram, and a pelvic exam. All my results came back normal for my term of pregnancy as well as the doc saying I don’t look that dehydrated. But I was still having contactions but laying down not as often The ER Doc told me that he doesn’t see anything wrong that would cause my body to start having contractions and that he will discharge me from the ER but that he wanted me to go directly to Labor and Delivery to be monitered. Shortly after that a nurse came in telling me that Labor and Delivery won’t see any patients who are less then 20 weeks pregnant. They literally refused to see me and I know that there are medications that could stop contractions and wondering why 3 weeks would make a affective difference (They should still stop the muscles from contracting)

Now I had my second born pre-mature and my family does have a history of pre-labor contractions early on as well. I told the nurse this and they didn’t even seem to take it into account. The last nurse who came in was so rude to me and basically was saying to me. You will go home and not be seen in labor and deliery, the baby isn’t viable this early so theres nothing we can do, so go home and hope for the best. She even took the doctors discharge papers for me crossed out what his orders were and instead wrote "Error" over it. Following "See your OB tomw"

SO I was wondering if other pregnant ladies have the same policy at there hospital and If you know why pregnant women in their 2nd trimester cant be seen and helped out if they are having so many contractions?

I’m on bedrest at home now but still having contractions but not As often as before. My cervix was completely closed when I had the sonogram so I’m hoping this all stops soon so I can get back to being a mommy to my other 2 tots~
