Urine infections leading up to my period!?

I have posted this on womens health and all i got was a load of people calling me a dirty skank and telling me to wash and clean my towels ect. I think it is highly unfair. And as i know everyone writing on this section are nice and dont give stupid immiture answers i will ask here!

Why do i keep getting urine infections?

I keep getting urine infections when i am about to come on my period. I am TTC and have been for 2 years. I am currently not on any medication. I am due on in a couple of days and i cant stop weeing. It isnt painful or burning, and it doesnt feel like i need to wee and nothing is there, i always have a full bladder. I havent started drinking more either. please help i dont want to go to my doctor she is a cow and takes no notice of my allergies! and cranberry juice doesnt work!

If anyone could give me a resonable answer that would be great. Thank you in advance!

I’m going to start by saying that I’m sorry, and that I wish I could help. For the past 3 years or so I have gotten the same things over and over. I’ve been on antibiotics for it for months and months. I’ve tried taking a cranberry supplement, I’ve gone to my doctors (they tell me to wipe front to back, pee after sex and make sure I’m drinking plenty of fluids). You probably have been through all the same things, and are pretty frustrated. My only other option is to get tests done, to check the bacteria levels in the bladder and that area. If you haven’t already done so, it might be a good idea. Although they may not always be painful, they are really bad on your kidneys and can affect your chances of getting pregnant. Maybe you should find a new doctor, if the one you’re seeing isn’t doing more to help you out.
    Good luck!

Do you urinate within 15 minutes of having sex? Not doing so can actually lead to urine infections which could be part of the problem.

If you don’t like your doctor you should get a new one who might be better willing to help you. It’s never a good thing to have a doctor you don’t trust.

your due for your period or your due with a baby? well if you keep getting infections and your not on any medications, and your doctor isnt paying attention. Have you tryed squitching doctors? has your partner goten tested for any std’s? any infections? you can get infections off your partner especially if you are ttc and are having unprotected sex. you might want to try getting rid off all your old underwear and buying new ones. also try using panty liners mayb ur alergic to the type of material the underwears are made of. hope i helped a bit

Urine infections usually burn when you pee and sometimes it would feel like you have the urge to go and nothing comes out. It could be pressure from your uterus pushing on your bladder to make you want to pee more. Instead of going to a regular practitioner try going to a OB/Gyn they might be able to help you better than a regular Dr. Hope you feel better.

Are you sure you have an infection? If t’s not painful or very urgent feeling, what are your symptoms? If it’s just that you’re urinating more, that happens as a result of the body purging all of the water it’s retained due to hormones. Completely natural. I pee like crazy the day before my period and I usually lose a pound or 2.

If it is actually a recurrent infection, you may need to get checked out anatomically. Some women’s urethras are angled in such a way that they’re more prone to infections. Get a new doc and have yourself checked out. Good luck!

Without any symptoms how do you know you have a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection?

Drinking raw, unsweetened cranberry juice may help. Also don’t use soap to wash use Apple Cider Vinegar instead. Try taking a probiotic as well.
